"All we like sheep have gone astray;" Isa 53:6a
In Isaiah Chapter 53, it is evident that the Lord is speaking about His
elect. It is also evident that in verse 6, He is speaking about the elect
sheepfold. The sheepfold the Lord is referring to here is all of the elect sheep
that are to be in His fold. So what the Lord has just told us is that; We have
all gone astray. We have all left the fold. In other words, when Adam sinned,
his sin separated all of the sheep that God had put in the fold before the
foundation of the world from the fold. The fold that God had chosen was empty
because of Adam’s Sin.
In Matt. 18:12 it speaks of Jesus leaving the ninety and nine sheep in the
fold to go find the one lost sheep. This fold is the same fold that God
assembled together before the foundation of the world. Since we were separated
by the sin of Adam the Shepard had to seek out every sheep one at a time and
cleanse them and bring them back to the fold. In Luke 19:10 it says "For
the Son of man is come to
seek and to save that which was lost." He
came to seek the very ones separated from the fold and to save them and bring
them back into the fold which they had left when Adam sinned.
When will the Lord stop seeking? When the last, lost sheep, has be brought back to the fold. And the fold that The Holy Father had elected and given to the Son has been complete. One at a time He finds them, saves them, and puts them across His wounded shoulders and totes them back to the foreordained fold. Praise God’s Holy name.
